              OUTREACH the newsletter of we 57ej&wdlz eiuwcfo 56 T sfoctual 5aoteaal tfct4ftttor 9ttewacff4nt MARCUS BACH founder no no241 241 september 1988 THE LETTER dear friend of the fellowship though our policy through the years has been to keep OUTREACH issues undated there have been occasional exceptions this is one of them why BECAUSE OF CHRISTMAS I 1 mean the book by that title copies of which many of you obtained in 1987 as one of our LITTLE BOOKS FOR LIFELONG LEARNING we have taken a serendipitous chance on another printing for the upcoming 88 yuletide season based on the books previous reception and convinced that it should have one more year of exposure we have stepped out with calculated faith that the current run sh should ould ouid be its final merry christmas to all by this is meant that every contributing member of FSU will receive a gift copy on or before december 5 and will also have an opportunity to purchase copies for gifts between now and then at onethird one third off practically wholesale as they say in the trade they also like to say in the trade that copies are limited and this is a case in point because the book will again be publicized among interreligious inter religious groups and their bookstores so do take a good look at the accompanying flyer and remember to take onethird one third off the list price somehow I 1 think it is appropriate to devote this present issue of OUTREACH to the subject of ANGELS not only BECAUSE OF CHRISTMAS but in view of a number of letters wanting to know something about angelology in view of the NEW AGE and old times there is another reason that nudges me to do something about these questions at this time recently lorena and I 1 had dinner guests which is by no means unusual what was unusual was that something happened that happened on several previous occasions which is to say that when the unusual becomes too usual is it still unusual what happened was that during the meal a sudden silence fell over our guests over overall all ail of us I 1 am sure many of you have experienced this A sudden quiet descends conversation has stopped and silence giftwraps gift wraps itself around us I 1 broke the silence by exclaiming it must be twenty after or twenty minutes to heads were turned to look at the clock sure enough it was twenty minutes past seven I 1 had to explain that my dad long ago persuaded us kids that at twenty minutes to or after the hour any hour was the time gods angels took a breath okay take a deep breath and turn to our QUESTIONS ON THE QUEST yours for the fellowship
