UTREACH OUTREACH the newsletter of 74 7 etuwiifr 56 saame 5t2w sa&at sabat undctt MARCUS BACH fomuk fomuw KT 1 1 vt NO 114 THE LETTER dear friend of the fellowship the years go all too fast 1 here it is time for our annual recognition of CHANCE DAY and it seems a as s though it was just yesterday that we observed it you who are new OUTREACH readers have the right to ask whats chance day well ill tell you several years ago I 1 wrote a book THE WORLD OF serendipity it was built around the fascinating story of the three princes of serendip serendib Seren dip who wandering around the world found joy and reward in unexpected happenings the book contained a rhyme and an idea the rhyme went like this thanks to chance you came my way three cheers for serendipity the idea suggested that once each year on august 7 we recognize the special friend or friends who chanced to cross our paths and in influenced fluenced fluen ced our lives what a great idea since serendipity has its own way of doing things it was no surprise that both the rhyme and the word were soon immortalized one of the methods of immort immert immortalization alization aliza tion was the fact that a woman in st petersburg illinois started a modest but impressive greeting card project which she called serendipity prints last year for our CHANCE DAY issue of OUTREACH she presented each of our readers with a CHANCE DAY bookmark and this year true to her nature she again came up with one of her creative productions not only is the enclosed card unique in that it links all of us together in a lovely way it is stamped and ready for mailing as if to say send me to someone who crossed your path enriched your life and who deserves this word of appreciation it is a great idea where would we be but for someone how different our lives might be but for chance chancel how wonderful to think that there are mysteriously bea beautiful uti interlocking unexpected links that keep on making life the great adventure it really is now this st petersburg illinois woman insists on remaining anonymous and I 1 am prepared to respect her wishes but that is no reason why serendipity prints should remain so if you wish to fineout findout find out more about her prints and products or if you wish to drop her a line fine the illinois zip is 62675 and the location of serendipity prints is rural route no 2 st petersburg illinois
