OUTREACH UTREA H the newsletter of 7 ne etuwcfr 57emwde XT sfrictaat tiwtetcutmw foewaumot MARCUS BACH founder no no197 197 THE LETTER dear friend of the fellowship so many of you say such lovely things about OUTREACH and are so generous in your praise of our work that I 1 must reciprocate let me tell you how much YOU mean to us and to me personally the letters you write the contributions you send and the information so many of you share are invaluable consider for example a letter I 1 received recently from an OUTREACH reader in ontario but for him I 1 might have missed a most impressive allegory this story of studies in the field of insectology told about experiments in which common everyday houseflies were put into a glass bottle along with a group of bees the open bottle was placed belly down with its bottom against a window toward the light and the open end facing the shado shadows ws the smart and highly intellectual bees tried desperately to escape from the bottle by swarming against the area where light was beckoning evidently they were of the opinion that escape must always be by way of lighted passages this time however their way was blocked by the mysterious manmade man made product known as glass it transmitted light but it prohibited an unobstructed struc ted passage or escape the common seemingly unwise houseflies simply buzzed to freedom through the open neck of the bottle even though shadows seemed to bar their escape I 1 wonder what they were thinking as they watched from freedom how the bees were thoroughly exhausting themselves in desperation trying to break through the impervious layer of glass the experiment is so graphic that it stands as a parable for each person to interpret in his or her own way what do you think the story is trying to convey to you I 1 thank this reader of OUTREACH and so many and so very many of you for such feedin feed in and feedback from your vantage points in life you are precious to us and we want always to remain precious to you in the spirit of a NEW YEAR new thought and new adventurous living lets turn to the seventh lesson in our continuing series titled metamedicine META medicine yours for the fellowship se
