Abstract (English)	Pankar-huyus are becoming an alternative solution to the Bolivian altiplano's climate problems for agriculture and to help provide adquate nutrition for the inhabitants of this region. Pankar-huyus are small modules with mild ambient temperatures that cover roughly 4 m2. They are built underground and are covered by agrofilm caps that, in this study, were partially opened by day and closed by night. This study evaluated the climactic parameters of minimum and maximum temperature, minimum and maximum relatively humidity inside the pankar-huyus, wind velocity outside and inside the pankar-huyus at 40 cm from the soil and at the level of the soil (thus obtaining net ratiation). The crop planted was Grand Rapids TBR--varity lettuce. The study tested two depths, 0.80 m and 1.20 m, of the pankar-huyus combined with two different degrees of cover opening, of 20 cm and 40 cm. The lettuce was planted twice (two cultivation cycles). The first was in September to October, the second from November to December. These two cycles in the present study are the two time periods mentioned. The first cycle's nursery was a walipin with disinfected soil, and the plants developed without problems. The second cycle's nursery was planted in another walipini with a non-disinfected survface, which resulted in a fungal infection that directly affected the second cycle's yield. The climate parameters were measured by instruments, which were: Thermohydrometers to measure temperature and humidity, anemometer to measure wind velocity, and a luxo to measure solar radiation. Of the combination of variables inthis study, modules with a depth of 1.20 meters and a 40 cm opening gave the highest yield for this crop, despite the second crop being notably affected by a fungal infection. One of the advanteages of this type of system is the favorable minimum temperatures for temperate crops. among its disadvantages are the elevated maximum temperatures and the high minimum realtive humidity of some of the modules, especially those with 0.80 m depths. Solar radiation was observed to diminish as it penetrated deeper depths inside the modules. Wind velocity did not have much influence on the magnitude inside the modules. However, greater velocity was measured on the soil, which is the center of the modules. The exterior climate factors that directly affected the interior of the modules were: meaximum temperature, minimum relative humidity, and wind velocity because these occurred when the modeuls' covers remained open. Solar radiation is one of the principal parameters because it gives the energy necessary for all the crop's biochemical and metabolic prcoesses.
Abstract (Spanish)	Los panqar - huyus vendrian a constituirse en una alternativa de solution a los problemas climaticos del altiplano boliviano para la actividad agricola y por ende para una adecuada utrition del habitante de esta region, son pequenos modulos de ambiente atemperado de aproximadamente 4 m2 de superficie, de construction subterranea y con tapas armadas de listones y recubiertas con agrofilm las cuales estaban semiabiertas de dia y cerradas por la noche en el presente ensayo. En el presente estudio se evaluaron parametros climaticos de temperatura minima y maxima, humedad relativa minima y maxima dentro de los panqar - huyus velocidad del viento desde el exterior y dentro de los panqar - huyus a 40 cm del substrato y a nivel del substrato, y radiacion solar desde el exterior y dentro de los panqar - huyus a 40 cm del substrato y a nivel del substrato, a partir de la cual se obtuvo radiacion neta. El cultivo que se implanto fue el de lechuga variedad grand rapids TBR. El ensayo se realizo probando dos profundidades de 0.80 m y de 1.20 m en los panqar - huyus desde el nivel del suelo, combinadas con dos diferentes semiaperturas de tapa una de 20 cm y la otra de 40 cm, el cultivo de lechuga fue sembrada dos veces (dos ciclos del cultivo) el primer ciclo fue entre los tneses de septiembre - octubre el segundo ciclo de noviembre - diciembre estos dos ciclos en el presente ensayo son las dos epocas mencionadas. El almacigo del primer ciclo del cultivo fue realizado en un walipini en una superficie desinfectada, por lo que las plantas desarrollaron sin problema alguno. El almacigo del segundo ciclo fue sembrado en otro walipini en una superficie no desinfectada, lo cual dio como resultado el ataque de una enfermedad fungica, que afecto directamente al rendimiento del cultivo en el segundo ciclo 6 segunda epoca. Los parametros climaticos fueron medidos por instrumentos, que fueron: Termo higrometros para medir temperatura y humedad, anemometro para medir la velocidad del viento y luxo metro para medir la radiacion solar. De la combinacion de las variables de estudio los modulos de 1.20 m de profundidad y 40 cm de semiapertura de tapa fueron los que mayor rendimiento obtuvieron para este cultivo, pese a que en la segunda epoca el cultivo fue afectado notablemente por una enfermedad fungica. Una de las ventajas de este tipo de sistema son las favorables temperaturas minimas para hortalizas de clima templado y entre sus desventajas estan las elevadas temperaturas maximas, asi como su relativa elevada humedad minima en algunos de los modulos, esjiMalmente A ids' de o i b hi. de profundidad. En cuanto a la radiacion solar se observo que esta disminuye al penetrar a mayores profundidades en el interior de los modulos. La velocidad del viento no tuvo mucha influencia en cuanto a magnitudes en el interior de los modulos, sin embargo dentro, se registro mayor velocidad en el substrato, que en el centro de los modulos. Los parametros climaticos del exterior que afectaron directamente al interior de los modulos fueron: Temperatura maxima, Humedad relativa minima, velocidad del viento, ya que estos ocurrian cuando las tapas de los modulos permanecian abiertas la radiacion solar es uno de los parametros principales en combination con los otros, debido a que brinda la energia necesaria para todos los procesos bioquimicos y metabolicos del cultivo.
