Description	Among the travel essays of Taylor's journeys are "A Week on Capri" (pp. 335-364) with side mention of Naples and Sorrento; "A Trip to Ischia" (pp. 365-390); "The Land of Paoli" (pp. 391-418) with stops in Corsica at Bastia, Mariana, Aleria, Borgo, Omessa, Corte, Calvi, and Bonifacio; and "The Island of Maddalena" (pp. 419-447), a small island off the northern tip of Sardinia, with mention of the adjoining island Caprera. In the latter, Taylor relates his abortive attempts in 1868 to speak with Garibaldi, who was on Maddalena at the time.
