[1] Mar Mar 14 To day I sent my journel home to my wife At 2 oclock we went tracting this being my first attempt, the first house was able to get rid of my little paper but the next three places they would not accept either me or my cause A lady standing at the ^ back of her house said she had enough religon with out my tracts. "Have you met eny of the faith I belong" to said I." No but we have the Bible & if we live after that it is enough." "Have you read in your Bible where is says try all & hold fast to that which is best" "Well we don't want eny more to lay on the shelf to gather dust" & with this she began chopp- ing with a will. "Well no harm done I hope good bye" & off I went thinking there must be something wrong with me or the way I talk danish so decided to go home & call it done for to day. At 8 oclock we held a meeting at which was our usuel old croud of faithfull saints & one earnest seaker after th trought after speaking about 20 minuts ^ on tithing we sang & Bro. Johnson talked. In a fiew moments two of gentlemen came & the surmon had to be changed to the first He was baptized 2 months after I left.
