Dimanche, tante Estelle a fait un festin superbe pour l'anniversaire de Maurice (7 mai). Schwob est dans les dix premiers pour la version latine. Mardi, il a composé une version grecque (Thucydide). Ses notes de quinzaine sont : 8 pour la conduite, 9 pour les leçons et 9 pour les devoirs. Il inclut une version corrigée par M. Boudhors. Schwob ne peut écrire que quelques mots à Maggie, mais il lui écrira plus longuement dimanche. Il espère qu'elle s'amusera au Concert populaire, et il lui conseil de faire attention car l'harmonium ne se joue pas comme le piano. Oncle Léon va s'entendre avec Calmann Lévy pour une traduction de Mille & Une Nuits et aussi avec Hachette pour une Histoire des brins & des Armures jusqu'au XIVe siècles. Aunt Estelle held a celebration for Maurice's birthday on May 7. Schwob is in the top ten in Latin translation. Tuesday he completed a Greek translation of Thucydides. Schwob's other grades are 8 for behavior, 9 for lessons, and 9 for homework. He includes a corrected translation by M. Boudhors. Schwob apologizes that he cannot write a longer letter and promises to do so next week. He hopes Maggie will have fun at the upcoming concert, although he hears that the harmonium ruins fingers for the piano. Uncle Léon is going to work with Calmann Lévy on a translation of A Million and One Nights with Hachette for a Histoire des brins & des Armures (A History of Blades and Armor) up to the fourteenth century. |
