THE MORMONS.— The accounts from the Great Salk Lake, via Oregon, report that the Mormons are in a state of great excitement, and apparently on the verge of a revolution. The Portland Oregonian, of Jan. 24th, makes the following announcement:
"We learn by the mail carrier from the Dalls, that news has reached that place from the Great Salt Lake, of a revolution. It is said the Mormons were arming and fortifying themselves, and had published a Declaration of Independence, in which they asserted their full determination to set up a republic for themselves."
