Nude lovers standing in a dance-like embrace. It is a self-portrait of the artist and his lover Alma Mahler. Very abstract with broken, lively brushwork and bright colors that barely define the figures and background. An expressionistic portrayal that is characteristic of Kokoschka's style at this time. |
