WASHINGTON, Friday, May 28.
Senator MASON'S report on the subject of the right of search or visitation, in connection with the recent outrages, dissatisfies almost all but the Anti-British Party, because it proposes nothing. DOUGLAS declares it a brutem fulmen, though approv-ing it as far as it goes. He thinks legislation similar to that proposed by himself ought to have been fol-lowed, from the promises laid down in the report. The House Committee have had the subject only in-formally under consultation.
The Ordnance ship Plymouth received orders to-day to sail for the Gulf to-morrow, and will go at 6 o'clock. The following is a list of her officers. Captain—J. A. Dahlgreen.

She will have 212 sailors and marines. She car-ries one 11-inch pivet gun and four 9-inch broadside guns, all of the Dahlgreen pattern. The officers are enthusiastic, and say that the Plymouth is capable of bringing in two or three vessels like the Styx.
The House passed ninety-one private bills to-day—a great day's work.
A gentleman who arrived here to- day direct from Fort Leavenworth, confirms the report that Col. KANE had not arrived, and says that Gen. HARNEY pays no attention to the reported surrender of YOUNG, but is pushing forward the reinforcements and the supply trains. It is not believed there that KANE ac-complished any permanent good.
Large Mormon trains were leaving various points in Nebraska for Salt Lake, carrying great quantities of arms, ammunition and clothing, and manifesting a very hostile spirit. Many Mormons were also hang-ing about the fort, and following the trains in various capacities. All sorts of rumors were constantly coming in from the army.
There were reports that buffalo were extraordinarily plenty on the Plains—more so than for years—and the grass fine. There was a general fraternization of the Republi-cans, Douglas men and Americans at Senator SEW-ARD'S last night, at a party given by him. All the leading Opposition Senators and members were present.
BURLINGAME intends to-morrow to report from the Committee on Foreign Affairs, a resolution request-ing the President to take steps to demand redress in the case of the bark Adriatic,
