MORMOMISM.
We learn by a Georgia paper that in that State a Mormon conference has been established, the missionaries are active in a dozen counties, and Mormon Sunday schools are now in operation. This thing is also going on in Alabama, North and South Carolina and Tennes-see. The paper from which we get this information further says:
"We have information that the propa-ganda has for some months been laying comparatively successful siege to large sections of the South. The emissaries have ceased shipping their converts in large bodies on the ground that it at-tracts unfavorable comment, and the vic-tims now go to Utah in little squads."
Now, assuming these statements to be true, and there is no reason to doubt them, it is evident that Mormonism is not merely being recruited in Europe, but also in our own States. Is it not time to appreciate the gravity of this matter and take some early steps in re-gard to it?
