BEAVER ISLAND MORMONS.—The propeller Prairie State arrived here yesterday (Tuesday) with fifteen families from Beaver Island. String's friends have lost power, and a terrible state of affairs exists among the inhabi-tants. Strang has been removed to Berlin, Wisconsin, where he was followed by a few of the deluded. He was greatly threatened, and his life was not at all sacred while at St. James. The original settlers there have the power and are driving out the Mormons with a grand rush, not even allowing them to carry away any thing from the island.—Detroit Advertiser.
