THE MORMONS. Those who have the best means of information all concur in the belief that the Mormons will abandon Utah in the spring, and take possession of the Mexican province of Sonora, a much finer country than Utah. They have been, all along, quietly but steadily pushing their settlements towards Mexico, and they already extend four hundred miles to the south of Salt Lake City, more than half way to the Mexican frontier. They can remove there during the winter if they choose, as the country south of Salt Lake City can be traversed at all seasons of the year.
