ARREST OF BRIGHAM YOUNG.
SALT LAKE, Oct. 29— The decision of the court in the matter of alimony in the pendent elit of Young vs. Young was de-livered in the Third district court this morning by Judge Boreman. The court previously ordered that the defendant should appear personally in court when the decision was rendered. The affidavits of two physicians sworn to, stating the de-fendant was scarcely able to be out; that it was dangerous for him to leave, was the reason that they asked to be excused. The court gave a brief history of the case aranting alimony. The pendent elit was not properly made and stands unrevoked and not obeyed. There is no good reason given for its not being obeyed. I am asked to enforce it. A court in order to maintain its dignity,. self- respect and au-thority, I cannot allow its orders to be re-pudiated, disregarded or denied. It is therefore, the judgment of the court that defendant be imprisoned until the nine-ty-five hundred dollars and costs of suit are paid, or release by the court in accor-dance with the above. Marshall Maxwell arrested Brigham Young this afternoon at the latter's residence where he now re-mains in custody of the marshal.
