THE Mormon bible has met with a deserved rebuff at the hands of the Customs Department of Canada. As the bibles sought admission into that country, the Department had to decide the amount of duty to be paid. If really a Bible, the duty would have been but five per cent; but if not a Bible, it is a mere book, taxable at the rate of fifteen per cent. The higher duty was levied, thus determining, in the esti-mation of the Department, that the work is no reve-lation, but the production of human intellect.
