Talent winners - Judy McCurdy and Kalene Vaughn both of Shelley took first place in the Shelley Spud Day Talent Show Friday night as they accompanied themselves and sang a ballad medley. The girls, both student at Ricks College, won out over contestants from Shelley, Sugar City, Rexburg, Pingree, Blackfoot, Firth and Idaho Falls. Talent Presentations ranged from vocal solos and duets to a ventriloquist, and readings. The show, which is part of the annual Spud Day celebration, took place in the Shelley LDS Tabernacle.
