Title	[Dr. Christen Jensen and Franklin S. Harris, ca. 1929]
Description	Dr. Christen Jensen, left, a specialist in history and government, served as acting president while President Franklin S. Harris, right, was on an agricultural advisory mission to Iran from 1939 to 1940. Dr. Jensen was dean of the College of Applied Science, 1924-29, then dean of the Graduate School for twenty years. He also served as acting president of the University from 1949 to 1950 between the administrations of Presidents Howard S. McDonald and Ernest L. Wilkinson. The council room on the top floor of the Smoot Administration Building was named in honor of Dr. Jensen.
