Description	Returning to BYU after participating in the NAIA tournament in Kansas City, members of the 1947-48 basketball team were welcomed by, among others, actress Colleen Townsend, who was then a BYU coed. Somewhat somber after winning one and losing one in the national tournament, the players in the picture include, left to right: Joe Nelson, Mel Hutchins, Ike Beem, Ray Fullmer, Randy Clark, and Brady Walker. Nelson, the star of the 1948 club, set a conference scoring record with a total of 37 points in the game against Denver.
