People from a variety of cultural backgrounds serve as the main characters. Through adjectives and verbs of worship, Brown emphasizes the joy of Christ's birth. A Child Is Born teaches children and adults the joy of Christ's birth in few words. The reader takes away lessons on Christianity, adoration, and unity, all of which are appreciated in a world of different religions and cultures.
