Description	(Anglican) Church of St. Peter & St. Paul, Lavenham, England. As the Reformation diffused into England, it interacted with politics & the social structure in such a way as to create both a 'high church' (Anglicanism) & 'low church' denominations (Presbyterians, Baptists, 'Puritans,' & other Calvinists). The Anglican high church both perpetuated Gothic & accepted Renaissance influences. Some of its new churches built in the Gothic style in low church strongholds, however, demonstrated a willingness to 'tone down' the Gothic features in the direction of 'Protestant Gothic.' This church also perpetuates the earlier 'perpendicular style' of Gothic
