Rights	Regarding all items formerly published, the copyright resides with Mr. Hart and his heirs. The non-published materials are physically and intellectually owned by L. Tom Perry Special Collections at Brigham Young University. In accordance with U.S. Copyright Law, it is the responsibility of the user to determine copyright prior to publishing any item in the collection in its entirety.Restrictions on research use include the following, as per a 1992 instrument of gift: monthly circular family letters dated 1978-1989 (box 5, fd. 6 through box 6, fd. 7) may be used only with the advance permission of the donor or his wife during their lifetimes; the restricted version of the autobiography (box 1, fd. 1) and the brown binder of source material related thereto (box 1, fd. 3) may not be used until 2018. The remainder of the collection is open for research use. It is the responsibility of the researcher to obtain any necessary copyright clearances.Permission to publish material from Philip J.
