Description	This is the headstone of John H. Gilbert in the Palmyra City Cemetery. John Gilbert was the chief typesetter of the first edition of the Book of Mormon. Hyrum Smith and others would bring a few pages to him every day or so. For some reason, Oliver Cowdery put very little punctuation in his hand-written copies of the text. Working from the printer's copy or second manuscript, John Gilbert provided most of the punctuation and paragraphing. His work was refined by others in subsequent editions of the book.
