Description	Nathan EldonTanner was born May 9, 1898 at Salt Lake City, Utah but spent much of his life in Canada. He was sustained as Assistant to the Twelve October 8, 1960. He was ordained apostle October 11, 1962. Beginning in 1963, President Tanner served in the First Presidency with four presidents of the Church. He passed away November 27, 1982 at age 84.
