Description	Early efforts to settle Kanab, Utah failed. Under the leadership of Levi W. Stewart, Kanab was permanently established on 14 June 1870. Latter-day Saints from eastern Arizona followed the Honeymoon Trail to the temple in St. George, Utah. That trail passed through Kanab and continued on to Pipe Spring and, eventually, St. George.
