Description	Located at Farson, Wyoming, this marker notes the meeting between President Brigham Young and the famous mountain man Jim Bridger. That historic event took place a few miles from this site on June 28, 1847. On that occasion, Bridger tried to discourage the Saints from settling in the Salt Lake Valley, believing it would not sustain a large population.
