Description	This is the restored Newel K. Whitney Kirtland, Ohio home. Joseph and Emma Smith stayed here for a few weeks when they first arrived in Kirtland in 1831. At least four and, possibly, six sections of the Doctrine and Covenants were received here. The restored home was dedicated on May 18, 2003 by President Gordon B. Hinckley.
