| Title | Trouble among the Mormons - An Elder Expelled |
| Summary | A condensed version of The Deseret News' account of Walter M. Gibson and his activities in Hawaii. Walter M. Gibson, a convert to the Mormon faith, was located in the Sandwich Islands by a Mormon delegation sent to investigate reports of Gibson's misconduct. He was found living in luxury, having ordained hosts of natives to the positions of Apostles, High Priests, Seventies, Elders, etc. He had even honored women as priestesses to gain property. The Mormon delegation left after being threatened with "lynching" by Gibson and his native followers. |
